As the political parties kick off campaigns ahead of the 2023 general elections, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) National Executive Council NEC has appointed a 10-man working committee to control the affairs of the party in Kano.
The appointment was made on the benchmark of the appeal Court’s judgement in Abuja which has set aside the decision of the Federal high court recognising the party’s State executive Council led by Sheu Shagagi.
In a letter addressed to the party’s National Vice Chaiman, Northwest, Senator Bello Hayatu refers to the power of the party, as contained in the party’s Constitution 2017 (as amended) to appoint the State working committee of the party before a new committee is elected.
