The Nigerian entertainment sector is set to be massively disrupted by the incursion of London based internationally acclaimed production outfit Moss PICTURES.
Speaking with selected entertainment bigwigs in London, the founder and CEO of the group, Anthony Sokunbi Walton stated that the time has come for the entertainment industry in Nigeria to witness measurable growth in terms of quality and the clarity of the message we send to the world through our productions. He decried the fact that many outside the African continent have not been able to decipher who we are, what are our values, where we are coming from or heading to.
He further informed that from now on a MOSS will stand in the gap in terms of quality production and exporting the beautiful Nigeria/Africa cultural heritage.
Born in 1965 in Lagos, Nigeria, Sokunbi is a veteran in the Nigerian entertainment circle. His involvement predates the present Nollywood, having worked closely with industry’s giants like Jimmy Odumosu, Tunji Koya and a host of others.
Way back in 1989, Anthony wrote Divine Emotion, a movie that detailed the import and export of drugs into Nigeria. The movie generated a lot of interest and was a commercial success. Mr. Shokunbi has been involved in dozens of successful movies since then.
According to him, Nigeria, Africa and the world should be on the look for his latest production, Oko Eru, which will no doubt put the African narratives and experiences in the front burner of international discourse.
To the Nigerian entertainment industry and all movie lovers, MOSS PICTURES, the big player is here.
